[Kempty Falls] Mussoorie |
|
[Photograph Discription]
Kempty Falls is 15 km away from Mussoorie, and they are the biggest attraction
of that area. The water goes down from an altitude of 4,500 feet. It splits
into 5 cascades. The place was developed into a tourist area after 1835
by John Mekinan. Kempty came from "camp-tea", because the British would
organize tea parties there. The water falls from a height of 40 feet.
There is a 'pond' at the foot of falls that people go in, the water is
cold, and people put bottles of drinks in it so they can cool.
